Miami Beet

Out of all the colours in O.P.I’s latest collection – South Beach, I was most excited about this colour. It looked really unique and stood out the most from the rest. Even when I received it in the mail, it was so vibrant in the bottle that I immediately changed nail colours. Unfortunately, when on my nails it seems to lose some of its vibrancy. I really loved it for its fuschia potential in the bottle, but on my nails it looked like it could join the ranks of deep wine red nails that were so hot a few seasons ago. It definitely is not as deep as Mrs O’leary’s BBQ, but just not as bright and vibrant as I had expected it to be. A little disappointing, but everytime I see it in its bottle, I can’t help but get swayed to paint it on.

Miami Beet  by O.P.I, perhaps someday in Autumn it would be nicer?

The Perfect Nude

When I was purchasing my nail polishes, OPI’s Tickle My France-y from their France Collection was the last one that I picked one. Seeing how it’s spring season and it should be all things bright and fun. It seemed to be a colour that was so last season, but nonetheless, I bought it anyhow. And I totally do not regret it!

It’s like the perfect nude to wear, especially on asian skin. It is a creme malty hot chocolate with too much milk kind of colour. I love it on my toes, because somedays I feel like it even has a hint of lavender purple undertone to it, and when I look down on my feet it’s winking back at me with its top coat glistening.

I didn’t think the same for my hands initially though. When I first applied it to my fingers, I thought that they just looked dull and so grandma-ish. But after one more coat of polish and top coat later, they started to grow on me and I am lovin’ it!

By far, the best nude colour I’ve ever seen to date.
